Fauna's passion and curiosity for what it means to be a human brings energy and joy in to every classroom she has the pleasure to teach in. Fauna has a unique approach to both yoga and anatomy. She continuously looks to see the whole student and ways for their practice to serve their life.
Fauna has been teaching yoga anatomy for 10 years and studying holistic anatomy in the dissection lab since 2012. Much of her time in the lab has been with the integral anatomist Gil Hedley. Gil taught Fauna that the greatest teachers inspire their students to fall in love with learning. This inspired her actively seeks out direct instruction from the world's leading experts in fascia, ashtanga yoga, and integral anatomy.
Her love of learning has taken Fauna around the globe. She has had the privilege to study Ashtanga yoga in Mysore India with Saraswati and Sharath Jois since 2016. And has also had the joy of studying with Ashtanga teacher Angela Jamison.
After so many years in the lab Fauna had the honor of being on the dissection team for the first fascia focused full body plastinate as part of the Fasicial Net Plastination Project at Body World's famed Plastinarium in Guben German. She continues to do fascial dissection work with the FNPP.
Fauna currently works at Experience Anatomy preparing specimens, leading cadaveric dissections and developing programs. She also has 20 years as a massage therapist and massage therapy instructor.
